What is unival for?
Mommies my baby has not pooped she eats both my milk and formula (sma gold) I know it is normal for her to stop pooping at regulated times but the problem is that she cries a lot like pushing and she could only poop with a suppository that I put in her yesterday and she fell asleep because she could not sleep because she woke up crying I guess because of the pain in her stomach.
Today I took her to the pediatrician and he prescribed unamol…. Any mommy has experience with this medicine that has helped them to make their babies poop… because as far as I know this medicine is for reflux so I don’t know if it will help my baby and how long it will take for it to work….
My 7 week old baby is also on unamol and similac total comfort he suffers from reflux and he did excellent with that medicine and his poop is no problem, we have been on it for 3 weeks now, but he has been doing it once a day for 3 days and one day without doing it I don’t know if it is normal, because when he does it he does it as usual not hard.

What is durater used for?
Although the amount excreted in breast milk is not of clinical repercussion, its use should be avoided during this period. As with other drugs, its use is not recommended during pregnancy. In animal studies, there is no evidence of mutagenic, teratogenic or fertility potential.
UNAMOL accelerates the absorption of the following drugs: anticoagulants, alcohol, benzodiazepines, cimetidine and ranitidine, so caution is recommended when used concomitantly, co-administration with azole antifungals, macrolide antibiotics, protease inhibitors and nefazodone may increase serum levels of Cisapride, thus increasing the risk of QT interval prolongation and the presence of cardiac arrhythmias.
Cisapride pediatric dose
Two weeks ago I suspended it and as he already weighed (6,300 at 3 months) they increased the dose according to his weight, I gave it to him for one more week and then I suspended it. And now I would like to give it to him again and he will be 4 months old on Tuesday. it makes me very sad to see him like this without wanting to drink his milk and the breast crying is very ugly 🙁
Hello my baby also takes unamol and ranisen, the pediatrician told us to try taking it off for a week if the discomfort returned the treatment was resumed if not completely suspended, greetings.
My baby was also prescribed unamol and nexium, first it was for 15 days and they suspended it, then they did x-rays and he had grade 2 reflux. The treatment will last 6 months, we have only been on it for 3 months because if I stop giving it to him the vomiting and discomfort returns.
My baby after breastfeeding (sometimes before finishing) he would arch, cry horribly, it was like something was coming up, like a «graphite» and right after that he would make an acid face, he did not vomit often but the acidity made him cry.
Unamol is good for vomiting
Hi girls I am new to mma and this forum my bbe was prescribed these medications by the gastro specialist x his reflux content the problem is that previous medications made him worse and I took him to the homeopath who is what he has improved and now that the specialist prescribed these medications I don’t know what to do I am afraid to break the little balance we have achieved with homeopathy.
Hi girls I am new to the group, my baby is 4 weeks old and they sent him nexium for the reflux but he is still the same, the pediatricians say that we have to wait. could you give me examples of the feeding schedules that your pediatricians told him and that have worked, thank you very much.
Hi clau I am mixed breastfeeding my bbe so I would give him his boob when he wanted and the formula only when he wasn’t full which was in the afternoons and the specialist told me that this made the reflux more constant so I can’t feed him every time he wants it, 3 hours must pass and the water from the formula must be at room temperature. The formula water must be at room temperature or very warm. She did not prescribe anti-reflux formula for me, I give him normal formula and when he finishes eating I hold him upright for 20 to 30 minutes and then I put him in his stroller and I bought an anti-reflux mattress that is at 30 degrees and with all that he has improved a lot.
