The new fund seeks to obtain the benefit of value over growth. In other words, its objective is to buy now value companies that are below their fundamental value, and sell growth index futures. Its concept is based on French & Fama’s Three Factor model, which improved the Capital Asset Pricing Model (known as CAPM).
It is a global fund, with an average net equity exposure of 0%, and a risk of 4 out of 7. The creator of this new product was Jaume Puig, CEO and CIO of GVC Gaesco Gestión, and the fund manager will be Pol Companys.

GVC Gaesco Gestión has launched this Friday a new fund with a value strategy, called GVC Gaesco Value Minus Growth Market Neutral FI, which aims to buy now companies that are below their fundamental value and sell growth index futures.
The vehicle has an average net equity exposure of 0% and a risk of four out of seven, while it is a global fund. Its creator is the CEO and investment director of GVC Gaesco Gestión, Jaume Puig, and the manager will be Pol Companys.

Meet Jaume Puig, CEO and CIO of GVC Gaesco Gestión. He began his professional career in 1989 at Fibanc. Afterwards, he worked at Banco Vitalicio and later, in 1995, he joined GVC Gaesco. Jaume is currently the General Manager of GVC Gaesco Gestión and manages various funds and sicavs of the entity. He holds a degree in Economics from the University of Barcelona, is a Certified European Financial Analyst and is also a member of the Board of Inverco Catalunya and a member of the Advisory Committee of the Executive Master in Finance at ESADE.
