It was an initiative of Matz Erreka and Lazpiur. The former markets an innovative product such as the ‘I-Bolt’, which includes a transducer in the screw head and allows remote monitoring of its operation. An example of servitization that has been inspiring. The second recalls Bergara, full of textile companies (they used to employ thousands of workers), of which there are none left. From both positions they proposed to the rest of the companies the creation of a center for all the companies in the value chain of bolted joints (also others) that would be oriented to the finished product and its operation and applicability in the market.
It is not by chance if we take into account the wide and deep business fabric of Bergara related to stamping. We have companies from all the links in the value chain: raw materials, treatments, coatings, third operations, manufacturers of related machinery and, of course, manufacturers of joining elements.  Among the 17 members of FEX, we have some that are world references in this sector.
