The story here follows Dell (Hart), an ex-con just out of prison who needs a job. After visiting several potential employers and not getting what he wants, Dell stumbles upon quadriplegic billionaire Phillip (Cranston), who is looking for an assistant to help him with his daily tasks. Phillip had turned down several candidates for the position but agrees to hire Dell because he stands out from the crowd. As they begin to work together, this pair of men from different worlds will form an unlikely friendship that will help them overcome their problems.
STX Entertainment has released the official trailer for this adaptation which you can watch in the player below. By the way, this is not the first remake of Amigos, in 2016 two versions debuted, an Indian one titled Oopiri and an Argentinian one called Inseparables.

Untouchable film

The story is inspired by the life of Philippe Pozzo di Borgo, author of the book Le Second souffle, a quadriplegic since 1993, and his relationship with Abdel Yasmin Sellou, his personal assistant. In the film, the two characters are played by François Cluzet and Omar Sy respectively.
Untouchable tells the story of the relationship between two characters who come from totally opposite worlds and are condemned to understand each other in order to overcome different difficulties together. On the one hand, Driss, of Senegalese origin and living in a Parisian slum, with a criminal record, vitalist, cheeky and funny. On the other hand, Phillippe, a quadriplegic artist, rich, educated and very unspontaneous, who needs a personal assistant.
Driss goes to the interview expecting to be rejected and with the sole pretense of being able to stamp his papers to collect unemployment benefits. Surprisingly, however, despite his brashness and lack of training, he is hired.
Phillippe’s reasons for hiring him are that, tired of dealing with caregivers who felt sorry for him, he found that the young man had no compassion for him whatsoever. Phillippe also sets himself a challenge: to get the rebellious young man to do a job and adapt to strict schedules and routines.

Maybe the stress of some situations, both professional and daily, make us see the world with tired eyes. When the vacations finally arrive, it seems that one will be free of many of these pressures. However, in my opinion, it’s all a matter of attitude: take advantage of the bad moments to learn, to laugh at them, knowing that they can be fixed or, at least, that you have to get back on your feet after them.
A few days before Easter, we can only remember the beauty of life and of ourselves; because yes, friends, we are beautiful and magnificent! (I just broke your moment of inner reflection with my ZAS of egocentrism, right?… My fault… let’s continue then).
To reach this humble blogger’s own fulfillment, we have to put aside other people’s problems from time to time to focus on others, as shown in this week’s movie (directed by Éric Toledano and Olivier Nackache) and its beautiful soundtrack. So… Let’s get started!

And why give up to a tetaplegia? I would overcome every day in spite of the adversities. I would not stop. I would not cry and I would go forward, towards a life of happiness and joy in spite of the tetaplegia.
