Los diferentes elementos arquitectónicos del edificio sitúan su construcción en el siglo XVI, fue durante muchos años el lugar donde se alojaban los que cuidaban del campo. Ahora ha sido restaurado para hacer una estancia acogedora, pero manteniendo su estilo.
Encontramos varias zonas en las que descansar. En un edificio anexo hay un gran salón con chimenea, varios sofás, mesas de juegos y sillas de lectura. Y justo encima, en una segunda planta de madera y con un balcón interior al este, hay una pequeña biblioteca junto a otra sala de estar.
Os ofreceremos todo tipo de información sobre las actividades que podréis realizar en la zona y sobre los lugares a visitar. Pero además, vosotros mismos tendréis acceso a internet desde cualquiera de las habitaciones.

El Prado Mayor is a typical farmhouse of the place, adorned with some architectural elements such as the stone column that supports the porch or the arch of the main facade, and other decorative elements such as the coat of arms, which allow us to date its origin to the late sixteenth century.
It has been restored respecting the original style and materials, improving its habitability. Stone, oak wood and handmade clay as the basic construction elements, natural cork as insulation, ceramic tiles and finishes in keeping with traditional architecture and respectful of the environment.
The inn has eight rooms, two of them «suite» type, balcony, living room, living room with library and fireplace, spacious porch, garden and orchard with organic farming. The living room with library and fireplace has been used on occasion for group activities.

The house is perfect, typical of the area and with a garden and orchards worthy of the «landlady» Olga, a kind, friendly, attentive, helpful and detail-oriented person who has delighted us with breakfasts and dinners based on products from her own garden and others from the area and with some touches of real chef at an affordable price. It was very good to have all this in the house after doing mountain routes of 18 km or 20 km in the area. The distances from the house to any place in Las Merindades are not great.

Posada El Prado Mayor occupies a beautiful 16th century house located on the outskirts of the village of Quintanilla del Rebollar. It overlooks the Merindades region and grows organic produce in its own vegetable garden.
