This place is known because it is divided into two parts: on the upper floor is the Negro restaurant, with tapas, tacos, dishes to share, rice dishes and daily specials, with a modern atmosphere, and on the lower floor is the Rojo restaurant, the Japanese restaurant, with open kitchen and shared tables (reservations are not allowed).
Very important: remember that you can only reserve a table for the Black restaurant (the one on the main floor, the market and rice dishes); not for the Red restaurant (the one on the lower floor, the Japanese tavern). By booking through this Atrápalo tab you will be reserving for the Negro.

In the upper area of Barcelona, Diagonal street, among its offices and its daily hustle and bustle, there is a restaurant sponsored by two opposite shades: black in its dark variants and red; energetic and luminous.
Two colors, two floors, two gastronomic styles with very different personalities: upstairs Black, not so black with international cuisine and a relaxed atmosphere, downstairs Red, a Japanese-style tavern with open kitchen and tables to share. Both founded and managed by the Tragaluz Group.
To whet your appetite, anyone who is passionate about croquettes should try theirs; eggplant, dried tomato and Parmesan, are the appetizer that announces the succulent options we can choose later. Following a proportionate order for our palate, we could continue with their starred eggs with prawns or sea bass sashimi. This will increase our desire to try more, for example, their truffled rigatoni or their special way of preparing grilled octopus with potato and paprika. All presented with a neat appearance and a studied care.

As its name indicates this restaurant has two floors each of one of the colors of its name. In the black one the cuisine is international and it is in the area that I had dined. This time we chose the red one. The food served in this area is Japanese.
The Red area and where we wanted to dine is located in the lower area. Down the stairs there is a bar where you can see how they prepare the Sushi. The dining room is very spacious with large tables that are shared with the other diners in the center. Along the walls there are tables for two, four people … In case you do not want to share a table, we dined in the center.
I recommend a visit to this place especially for dinner with friends and a drink. The cuisine in both areas is very good, I don’t know which one I would choose, so you will have to visit twice! I leave the menu of both for you to take a look.

In this open kitchen we can see the chefs in action preparing and working meticulously each of the dishes we are going to taste. While we wait for the food, we contemplate the great Diagonal Avenue through its large windows that illuminate the entire space. A very interesting gastronomic experience that feeds our senses and wonders our palate.
Point against: The location of Negro Restaurant we could think that it is not a place to go to eat, so if we do not move expressly because we know it, we can go unnoticed.
