How to fill out the cuban passport form

Before asking my questions, I would like to recall another excellent Consul General of Cuba in Galicia – Mr. Luis Felipe Vazquez. Luis Felipe Vázquez – I have engraved in my memory a meeting I had with him in September 1995 in Santiago de Compostela and the wonderful attentions he dedicated to me.

That legacy also works in the opposite direction. We owe much of what we are to Galicia because Galician emigration to Cuba left an indelible mark on us. There were many Galicians who joined the struggles for the national liberation of Cuba, such as Francisco Villamil, who was one of the heroes of Cuban independence.

La Xunta anunció el pasado mes de mayo que Feijoo visitaría la isla para tratar de captar oportunidades comerciales para reunirse con Galicia y la comunidad gallega que asciende a 40.000 personas, tras las numerosas peticiones de cubanos de ascendencia española que reclamaban la nacionalidad de sus padres y abuelos.
El embajador de Cuba en España, Eugenio Martínez, aseguró este lunes que el Gobierno cubano está interesado en la industria láctea gallega, que aportaría a la isla un balón de oxígeno para superar su declive de los últimos años.
«Con los productos lácteos podemos tener algo», admitió Martínez en una entrevista a la Radio Galega, donde expresó un posible interés por parte de las empresas gallegas en la Zona Especial de Desarrollo del Mariel .
«El presidente gallego ha trabajado mucho para que esta visita sea un éxito y , desde mi punto de vista, sería una pena intentar empañar eso, porque su foco es el pueblo gallego», dijo Alvelo. «Como simple investigador, me mantengo al margen de las corrientes políticas. Lo mío es escribir historias y no opinar sobre temas políticos», añadió.

The consul believes that «there is a chemistry that flows in a particular way» between Galicians and Cubans because «Galicianness» on the island «transcends any barrier and any border». A colony of around 38,000 Galicians resides there, although at present «descendants prevail, people who develop their lives in Cuba, but who also pay attention to their condition of descendants».

The application deadline for companies is September 29, 2021.  The annual gross amount of the scholarship will be between 19,000 and 48,000 euros, depending on the country and city of destination assigned.
