First of all, I refer to the Romanian consulate in Barcelona, the consular services they offer. It would make no sense to repeat what many have already seen with their own eyes and even written about it, namely that those little men behind the protective glass are not at all interested in giving a helping hand to the Romanians in Barcelona.

Econsulate
The fact that a Romanian from the community becomes the head of a diplomatic mission of Romania is a first. Geanina Boicu has been at the head of the Consulate General in Barcelona since January this year and told us that she was admitted to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs after a period of preparation and after passing a series of exams and interviews, held until October 2012.
Before becoming the head of the Consulate General of Romania in Barcelona, Geanina Boicu worked in the Social Democratic Party of Romania (PSD), Barcelona branch, as vice-president of the PSD Diaspora organization, as well as in the Catalan Socialist Party (PSC).
The new consul told us that he stopped his political activity in July 2012 and that he took the exams in the MFA because he wanted to contribute to the improvement of the life of the Romanians in Catalonia.
