Foreigners’ appointment

Good morning, on the day of the date 22/01/2021. I have tried to make an appointment to take fingerprints for the renewal of my card that is about to expire, it is not possible to get an appointment, I am waiting for your answer thank you.
Hello, I got an appointment to take fingerprints for the long term residence in a police station in Mataró, but I live and I am registered in Badalona, can I go to that police station to take the fingerprints or would I necessarily have to get an appointment in Badalona?

To carry out different procedures, the citizen will have to obtain a previous appointment, this is requested through the official website of the public administrations https://sede.administracionespublicas.gob.es/icpplus/citar?p=3, once there you must select your province and then the type of procedure you want to carry out.
Once you have chosen the procedure to be carried out, you will be shown the documents with which the applicant must appear at the immigration office, then you must select a date and time when you are available to appear at the office assigned to you.
If the resolution of your residency application has been approved, you will have to go to an immigration office, where you will be fingerprinted and present your documents for your card to be issued.
If, for example, the citizen needs to make a letter of invitation, he/she will have at his/her disposal the application form, a document that must be filled out with the information of both the guest and the person inviting that person, and must be presented (along with the rest of the documents) at the office assigned to him/her on the day of the appointment he/she has booked.

Immigration appointment

If you wish to have your fingerprints taken to obtain your TIE (physical NIE), you must first request an appointment (cita previa extranjería huellas) through the electronic site that the government makes available to all citizens(COMO VA LO MIO). Once you have requested the appointment, you will go to the office of your choice from the list provided on the day and time of your choice. There you will be fingerprinted, which will appear on the TIE (card with the physical NIE).

Depending on which one you choose, there are several procedures. If you do not see or are not sure which procedures are listed in detail, check the «OK» box and you will see in detail the list of procedures you can choose from in your chosen province. Select the «Fingerprinting» option from the list. The next step is to click on the suggested list and select Police-Fingerprinting (Card Issuance) and Long Term Card Renewal and click OK.

Appointment prior to police nie

Before the pandemic, once the month or forty-five days had elapsed, one went directly to the police station with the receipt and the original passport to collect the TIE, but after the health crisis and to avoid crowds, it is necessary to make an appointment at the police station where the fingerprinting was done. It should be remembered that, as an exceptional measure, fingerprinting can be done at any police station in the province; it is not necessary to go to the place of residence as was previously the case, due to the difficulty in reserving an appointment for this particular procedure.

8.- On this screen we are given three random appointments so you can choose the one that suits you best. Select the appointment you want and click NEXT. You will get a screen asking if you are sure to book the appointment you have selected. If we are sure we click OK, if we have made a mistake we click CANCEL and select another day and time.
