Warehouse madrid reservations

The palace of María de Molina and Lagasca, in the heart of the Salamanca neighborhood, hides a secret inside that I would have liked to discover much earlier. It is the Warehouse restaurant, with its concept of farm to table gastronomy: from the farm to the table.
This concept was born in Hacienda Zorita Wine Hotel & Spa and has come to Warehouse to stay with chef Juan Martinez-Alonso who, in his own particular way, offers us to taste a variety of organic and natural products prepared with great taste and know-how.
Cheese board. They are all of own production and are made of goat’s milk «verata» with thyme or cured and semi-cured sheep’s milk. The «churra» sheep cake is a delight, with a strong smell but soft to the taste.
Delicious hamburgers with natural ingredientsA few weeks ago I told you about Tacatá, a highly recommended restaurant of Mediterranean cuisine in Pozuelo. Today it’s the turn of its big brother, the hamburger restaurant Buns. That burgers are fashionable in Madrid is nothing new. We are lucky to have a varied offer, both in types and prices.  But today it’s time to talk about Buns (Lopez de Hoyos, 11) and its excellent…

The warehouse club madrid

Yesterday I had dinner at The Warehouse, and it was my third visit since I knew it. My impressions are still the same as the first time I went for dinner and, besides, as I was with a lot of people I didn’t go beyond the terrace. I make new appreciations regarding the food.
The cuisine, in the hands of chef Juan Martínez-Alonso, is ecological. It is based on organic products and follows the «farm to table» concept. They serve products from their own farm, Hacienda Zorita, where they also produce pure acorn-fed Iberian cured meats, balsamic vinegar and raw sheep’s milk cheeses, among others.  The bread and wine are also from the Hacienda itself. I had vegetables and found them very tasty. My friends had caramelized scallops, Peromingo tomato salad and salmon trout tataki.
On my second visit we had, as starters to share, torreznos de cochinillo, very different from the ones I had tasted so far; grilled vegetables and potato omelette. For the second course we shared two pizzas: Rustica and Jamaica. Since last spring, on Sundays they also serve their lazy brunch based on the same organic products.

The rhum bar madrid

Christmas is getting closer and the palace La Quinta Marqués de la Concordia is ready for the date. The WareHouse restaurant and The Rhum Bar will be open on December 25, 1 and 6 January with various gastronomic proposals based on the philosophy that differentiates them ‘the product is the protagonist’ and where you can taste their universe made at home interpreted and prepared by their masters of ceremony, chef Juan Martinez-Alonso and bartender Suley Fortes, both experts in the field.
