Ministry of the environment of andalusia

The Guadalquivir Hydrographic Confederation is attached for administrative purposes to the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and the Environment, to which it reports as an Autonomous Body with full functional autonomy.
The Guadalquivir river basin district comprises the territory of the Guadalquivir river basin, as well as the river basins that flow into the Atlantic Ocean from the boundary between the municipalities of Palos de la Frontera and Lucena del Puerto (Torre del Loro) to the mouth of the Guadalquivir, together with its transitional waters. The coastal waters have as western limit the line with 213º orientation that passes through the Torre del Loro, and as eastern limit, the line with 244º orientation that passes through Punta Camarón, in the municipality of Chipiona.
The Guadalquivir river basin has an extension of 57,527 km and extends over 12 provinces belonging to four autonomous communities, of which Andalusia represents more than 90% of the area of the demarcation.

The Guadalquivir Hydrographic Confederation is the basin organization of the Guadalquivir River Basin, and has among its competences the hydrological planning of water resources flowing through the Guadalquivir demarcation, the execution of works of general interest, as well as water management affecting the provinces of Badajoz, Ciudad Real, Albacete and Murcia, and the autonomous cities of Ceuta and Melilla. This requires a huge amount of data related to water and territory that are represented on digital cartography.
In short, the Spatial Data Infrastructure of the Guadalquivir Hydrographic Confederation (IDE-CHG) aims to facilitate access to spatial information, both at the institutional level and at the level of the citizens themselves, as well as to optimize decision-making within the organization.

The most important documentation in this collection is that of the technical management department, which includes both the work projects carried out by the confederation and those of other organizations or entities. These documentary series bring us closer to the important work of the confederation and its actions on the Guadalquivir River since its creation.
The collection is located in a warehouse in a different location from the headquarters. The documentation is organized and inventoried; the classification table is in the process of being drawn up. A first outline of this would be as follows: technical direction 4481 boxes, * projects of the ministry, * projects of the Junta de Andalucía, * works of the organism, water commissariat.

Transferred the matter to the Economic Crime Team of the Organic Unit of Judicial Police of the Civil Guard Command of Seville, the investigations of the agents of that group would have revealed a possible manipulation of the accounting of the Irrigation Community of Viar, with the alleged intention of hiding the excess consumption of water allocation established by the Hydrographic Confederation of the Guadalquivir.
In parallel, the investigations would have revealed that the CHG would have formalized the lease of land to the Community of Irrigators of Viar, «not having submitted the same to a bidding process», in addition to the concession of the land, «were breached in a taxing way» the requirements, since the conditions imposed by CHG required that such land could not be exploited, could not have a lucrative purpose and could not be transferred to third parties, and the purpose that was to be granted to them were an experience of irrigation.
